Kings' Cup 2013 for Paralyzed Veterans

I got an invite from a fellow outdoor racer who was putting together a team sponsored by the Carlisle Companies.  I guess they got wind of my experience at this track and brought me in as a ringer.

You can see the still of the video is our team with The King - Richard Petty.  You can also see us posing with him around 32 seconds into the video.  Our kart (#20) also got a lot of press.

Format was 2 races, a one hour "qualifying" race where the sponsored teams (like us) raced each other, then the professional teams (Joey Logano, Marcus Ambrose, Aric Amorrola, as well as many others) raced each other.  Then the top 5 from each raced in a 10 team final.  We started last and finished 3rd in the qualifyer, then started last again and finished 2nd in the final... getting praise from The King himself!  Great day, great people, great cause.
